Abstract
 Indonesia has wide cultivation of purple sweet potatoes (Ipomea batatas L.) commodities, particularly in Jambi province. However, the difference phytochemical profiles among geographical regions not been fully explored. The objective this research to find out antibacterial activity ethanol extract leaves potato against bacteria Salmonella sp. and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This study used Broth microdilution with concentration 2 mg/mL, 4μg/mL, 8 16 32 64 128 256 512 ug/mL,1024 mg/mL. Chloramphenicol as a positive control at same concentration, minimum inhibitory (MIC) determination made by 50 seen from transmittance value test bactericidal (MBC) lowest which no visible bacterial growth. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of daptomycin, linezolid, and vancomycin against 212 isolates of Listeria monocytogenes, Pediococcus, Leuconostoc, Rhodococcus and Nocardia species were determined by the broth microdilution method and the Etest (daptomycin only).
